Congratulations on birth of your baby/pregnancy. This short booklet is aimed at helping you to understand and tackle the various health needs and appointments for your baby. This can be particularly daunting in the first few weeks and months following the birth of your child when you may be faced with meeting various specialists and understanding new terminology and language. As the months go by your journey through the health system will begin to take shape. All children are different and some have more needs than others. You may be feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the people involved and worrying what the future may hold for your child. This is normal. This booklet has been written by parents for parents and we are here to support you every step of the way. For completion the last few pages of this booklet are about the health needs your child may experience as they progress through school and into adulthood.
