Introduction to Down syndrome for secondary school, college and beyond with Dr Wendy Uttley The course introduces Down syndrome to people who have little experience of working with people with Down syndrome and covers society’s view of Down syndrome, health implications, strengths and weaknesses in the classroom and outlines ways to address the specific learning needs and manage behaviours. · A real awareness raiser. It reminded me of the purpose and strength of inclusion. · I would highly recommend ALL support services and schools undertake this training.
